Lupe Fiasco Food & Liquor II

Lupe Fiasco Food & Liquor II

Best album of the year, award or not….

Favorite track – Strange Fruition:
You forced us in the ghettos, then you took our Dad’s.The belly of the beast, these streets are demon’s abs…

Divided over money. Delighted by the dumbing down of the importance of crowns we’ll never have…. That’s my sounds a sermon of soul full of wrath, baptize your mind, let your brain take a bath…..

Just a few favorite lyrics from my favorite song on the Food & Liquor II album. If you haven’t purchased this album, go do it now. Listen, I mean, really listen.

Lupe Fiasco Interview with KC Chopz

Lupe Fiasco is the TRUTH when it comes to hip hop, and I mean REAL hip hop! He does not bite his tongue when it comes to expressing his thoughts, his knowledge, his wisdom and his unquestioned discerning method of life.

His lyrics are untouched by any mainstream hip hop artist that is out (except for NAS), he is an artist of substance.

Major record labels have an agenda of keeping the truth from the people with the trash that is played over & over again via the airwaves and television. To dumb down a people is to control. Don’t let them fool you.

This is the music our young and old black minds should digest.

Rihanna own MAC make-up line!

Rihanna own MAC make-up line!

Not only can you dress like Rihanna, now you can wear her makeup too. After designing a clothing line for British retailer River Island, the 25-year-old singer has landed an unprecedented deal with MAC for her own line of cosmetics.

MAC and the pop princess have teamed up for a series of color cosmetics called RiRi [Hearts] MAC that will launch later this year.

“When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind—for something legit—is MAC,” Rihanna told WWD. “Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.”

The first release will be RiRi Woo, a lipstick inspired by her favorite MAC red, Ruby Woo. The product will debut at Rihanna’s “Diamonds” tour shows on May 4 and 5 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, where MAC will open a pop-up shop on the first night to unveil the line.

I am not a label whore, but I do love me some Rihanna and will probably go out and but her products once releases. She is such an edgy artist who knows how to delivery good music and sex appeal, across the globe. Now, I am not saying that a woman should solely use her sexiness as the main tool for success, but it’s done by Rihanna in such a way that is not disrespectful to herself. She has crossed some lines with lyrics and music videos, but you can’t help but respect her for the artist that she is.
